Melissa is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto’s Women & Gender Studies Institute. She also holds an MA in Women & Gender Studies from the University of Toronto, as well as a BA in Human Rights and Women & Gender Studies from Carleton University. Her current research is located at the intersections of Indigenous Studies, Women & Gender Studies, Genocide Studies, Collective Memory Studies, Material Culture Studies, and (De)colonial Theory.
