Dr Meighen Katz is a practicing public historian and academic in Melbourne, Australia. Her curatorial work includes contributions to exhibitions at the Ian Potter Museum of Art, the Melbourne Museum, and the Jewish Museum of Australia. She has taught history and museum studies at several Australian universities, led workshops on ghost walks, and discovered hidden gems in the archives of the Film and Sound Archive. Her research focuses on the ways in which museums interpret, negotiate, and sometimes avoid, narratives of vulnerability. This has resulted in writings on female criminals, interwar photographers, shantytowns, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and cursed theatre reviewers.
