As Founder and Creative Director of Detroit-based performance company White Werx, he creates dance-driven work for the stage and screen. He joined the faculty of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts -- the largest public design and arts college in the United States --- in Fall 2016, where his teaching and research is centered on dance for film, social dances of the diaspora in the US, and arts equity through a Afroqueer artistic and theoretical framework.
