Dr. Mary L. Tanke is the Ernest R. Graham Distinguished Professor in the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Florida International University, Miami, Florida. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Florida International, she later went on to complete her master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University. This is Dr. Tanke’s 3rd decade of teaching Hospitality Management, which includes two semesters in Switzerland at the Centre International de Glion. She served as Editor of the FIU Hospitality Review from 2007-2011 and was the founding Chairperson of the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). Research interests include areas of human resources management such as bullying in the workplace and sustainability; cultural intelligence and program evaluation systems and processes.
