MANTSOSE JANE SETHUSHA (D.Ed; University of South Africa) is a lecturer in the College of Education (Department of Early Childhood Education) at the University of South Africa. Dr. Sethusha’s research areas are in the fields of early childhood, teacher education, and classroom assessment. She has conducted research in South African public schools focusing on assessment and strategies to increase students’ learning performance, particularly in schools that were historically marginalized under apartheid. Dr. Sethusha has published journal articles and book chapters in accredited journals; including, A vision of improvement of learning: South African teachers’ conceptions of classroom assessment, Perspectives in Education; Communicating assessment results: Teachers views of recording and reporting classroom assessment, Mediterranean Journal of Social Sciences. She has presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr. Sethusha is the recipient of the VisionKeepers Fellowship Award from the University of South Africa.
