Mark D. Luttio, Ph.D. is professor of philosophy and religion at Lynn University. He received his doctorate from the University of Notre Dame and has taught in numerous international venues; including Japan, Brazil, Israel and the United States. He moved to South Florida, from Notre Dame, IN. where he served on the faculty of Saint Mary’s College in the Department of Religious Studies, he joined the faculty at Lynn as Adjunct Professor in 2002. Since then he has become Full Professor of Philosophy and Religion in the College of Arts & Sciences, teaching a variety of courses both in the Dialogues of Belief and Reason and the Humanities. Luttio is a U.S. citizen, but born and raised in Asia, and thus finds himself at home in the International ethos of Lynn and South Florida; he likes to refer to himself as a "Caucasian Asian." His particular research interest is world religions and their effect on global politics.
Less
