  Mason Johnson received his BA in both Philosophy and Greek & Roman Studies from Rhodes College and his MA in Classical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies form the University of Wisconsin - Madison. His master's thesis dealt with Cicero's political philosophy and it utilization of Aristotelian ethics as a ground for political science. His research interests include ancient philosophy and its relationship to ancient cultures, the relationship between ancient philosophy and 20th century continental philosophy, particularly phenomenology, and the intersections of phenomenology and aesthetics.
