Professor González holds a BA in English and a Masters in the Science of Education with an emphasis in English Teaching. She iniciated her teaching experience in 2000 and has worked for several Universities among them the most renowned State Universities. She started working at the National University of Costa Rica (UNA) in 2009 as professor of English as a Foreign Language for students of all the majors and for English teaching. She leads a project that aims at providing accessible material to students with visual and hearing impairments, who take the English courses at UNA. She has presented papers at International Conferences and dealt with the topic of Intercultural Awareness and the teaching of foreign languages to students with impairements. Social justice in the pedagogical praxis is one of her main interests.
