Lois Rowe is a London-based visual artist and educator in Fine Art. Since the late 1990s Lois has been exhibiting her work internationally, lecturing, writing, and publishing. Her work is sometimes print-based, often resolved through the media of sculpture and costume. Since 2006 she has been making narrative films and videos, in which her previous working media of sculpture and costume are often incormporated. In 2012 she compoleted her PhD and her thisis was titled "Ironism as Self-Crowning within Numinous Contemporary Art" at Goldsmiths College. She is a regular contributor tot he online journal The Conversation. Lois is Programme Director of Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Arts. She advises on numerous developmental committes across the University of the Arts London such as the REligious Literacy Committee and has served as an External Examiner at the University of Lincoln and London Metropolitan University. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and served as a Director of Governors for the Haberdashers' Askes' Federation of Schools between and 2013 and 2016.
