Lorraine Godden is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University where she is working with the Cooperative Education and Workplace Learning group, and as a researcher examining teacher induction programs across Canada, examining high school students perceptions of post-secondary choices and options in the Kingston area. Lorraine is also particularly interested in the professional development of career education and guidance teachers.
Lorraine holds degrees in Business and Marketing (England) and in Education (England and Canada), in addition to vocational qualifications in workplace assessment and quality control of work-related qualifications. She has been involved in many mentoring projects in both educational and workplace settings, and has been in leadership positions in both for profit and non-profit sectors. Lorraine held positions in England where she was responsible for career and professional development of school support staff and school governing bodies
