Linda Johnson-Bhola is a Geography lecturer at the University of Guyana (UG), served as Coordinator of the School of Earth & Environmental Sciences (UG) and Geography subject panelist and Assistant Examiner for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), Resource person for CSEC Geography School-Based Assessment (SBA) and Resource person (Geography) for Cyril Potter College of Education. She earned a trained Teacher’s Certificate (Secondary Academic) from Cyril Potter College of Education (Guyana), Certificate in Education (Geography option) from the University of Guyana, Bachelor of Arts Degree (Geography, minor Education) from the University of Guyana and Master of Science Degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of the West Indies. Linda has been involved in teaching Geography at the secondary and tertiary levels combined for over twenty years and she has written Physical Geography modules for Cyril Potter College of Education for delivery via distance mode. She has been involved in research in the areas of geography education, land use planning, urban planning, flooding and biodiversity and made presentations at conferences, workshops and seminars. She has publications based on flooding in Guyana among others.
