His research interests include classroom communication and instructional processes, social conflict responses, and workplace mobbing. His recent publications include A Speechmaker's Supplemental Material and a chapter in Teaching Ideas for the Basic Communication Course, Volume 9. He was awarded the Central States Communication Association's Cooper Award for Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant (M.A.) in 2003.
