Laura Sale is a Research Associate in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Manchester. Laura is currently working with Professor Geoffrey Beattie on a number of research projects for the Sustainable Consumer Behaviours and Lifestyles theme at the Sustainable Consumption Institute, established at the University of Manchester, and sponsored by Tesco. In particular, Laura's research focuses on implicit and explicit attitudes in the context of sustainable consumption. Laura and Professor Beattie were shortlisted as finalists for the International Award for Excellence by the Journal of Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability (November 2009) for their publication 'Explicit and Implicit Attitudes to Low and High Carbon Footprint Products'. Their paper outlined new research carried out at the SCI into the measurement of implicit and explicit attitudes in the domain of sustainable consumer behaviour.
