Laura Krughoff is a fiction writer whose first novel, My Brother's Name, was shortlisted for a Lambda Literary Award for Debut Fiction. She is completing a second novel that charts the nine years between Massachusetts legalizing same-sex marriage and the Supreme Court overturning the Defense of Marriage Act. Her scholarly work engages with the political—and legal—consequences of competing theories of interpretation. Her article “Authorial Intention Be Damned” is currently under review.
