Kevin Farley serves as the Collection Management Librarian for the Humanities at the James Branch Cabell Library of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. His doctorate, in English Renaissance literature, explored fissures in subjectivity and intentionality in late-Elizabethan textuality. He has presented papers on these topics at several conferences, including a talk on John Donne at a conference on imprisonment, torture, and religious conflict in the Renaissance held at the Tower of London. His research focuses on subjectivity theory, libraries as experimental social environments, and the future of the library and the book.
