    Defence date is scheduled for November 1, 2019. Research is based in Bhutan, exploring the ecotourism sector through a Foucauldian post-structuralist framework in which subjectivities and discourses play a critical role for inquiry. Additionally, cosmology and ethnoecology have been employed in order to understand key cultural framings that surpass much of Foucault's 'western' based approach.

    Masters research was conducted in Kenya, exploring community involvement in environmental impact assessment processes for small scale water supply projects. Research was based on Communicative and Transformative adult learning theories and applied to resource management scenarios.
