Jing Xie is currently a PhD candidate in architecture and urban design at University of New South Wales, where his research interest lies at study of mixed-use development in history, precisely, the social meanings of space in a broad historical and cultural context, and how individuality and sociality can be spatially constructed. Meanwhile, he has been practicing and teaching architecture in both Australia and china for more than 10 years. Jing received his bachelor degree of Industrial Design from Zhejiang University (China) and master degree of Architecture from UNSW(Australia).
