Jeff Seward joined HART in October 2011 and is responsible for the financial management of the agency including budget development, financial reporting, internal audit, procurement, contract administration, grants, capital project programming, performance and analytical measurement, as well as being the environmental management and sustainability Champion.
Mr. Seward has more than 25 years of local government, private-sector and military experience providing leadership for various areas of public administration and finance, including strategic financial and organizational planning, and economic development. He received his bachelor’s degree in history/government from Columbia College, and his master’s degree in public administration from California Lutheran University. He has served over 14 years as an adjunct Professor in Webster University’s MBA program where he teaches applied business statistics, operations and project management and the MBA capstone business simulation where he has been recognized as the Tampa Bay campus’ “Instructor of the Year.” He is past president of the Southwest Florida Government Finance Officers Association and was recognized as the 2014 Public Sector “Chief Financial Officer of the Year” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
