Jay Otto, M.S. is the Principal Scientist for the Center for Health and Safety
Culture at in the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State
University. Jay received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in engineering
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He leads the research
efforts for the Center. He is fascinated by human behavior, how systems influence behavior, and the role of culture. His issues of interest include substance abuse prevention, traffic safety, and violence prevention.
