  I am a sociologist with interests in workplace restructuring and education. Dissertation research examined outsourcing and its impact on professionals and their work. Thusfar, I have published one article from this research that describes the limits outsourcing places on professional discretion and control. I plan other articles addressing the effects of outsourcing on social relations in the workplace and another on the problems experienced in many outsourcing deals. This project, in collaboration with Dr. Leigh Shaffer (also from West Chester University), describes a "just in time" educational approach to curriculum design that parallels the strategy commonly used in the workplace.
