Isadora A. Helfgott received her Ph.D. and M.A. in History from Harvard University and her B.A. in History and Art History from Swarthmore College. She is currently Associate Professor of History and Program Chair for Museum Studies at the University of Wyoming. She previously served as Curator of Academic Engagement at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. Her book from Temple University Press, Framing the Audience: Fine Art and the Politics of Culture, 1929-1945, explores the cultural politics of the Great Depression and WWII in the United States through the prism of art appreciation. She is currently working on the history of international loan exhibitions with a particular emphasis on art that was displayed at World's Fairs.
