  I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My dissertation brings the insights of new materialism into conversation with disability theory to illuminate how contemporary writers and artists theorize the bodymind in all its viscerality, at a time when constructionism is still readily referenced in discussions of alterity. In addition to my academic work, I am a TED-Ed educator and a Mellon Morgridge graduate fellow.
