Ieva Zemite is researcher at the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC) Research Centrer and lecturing for cultural management students at Bachelor and Master Program. In 2014, the LAC research Center has been awarded a state research program funding for realization of the project “The Sustainability of Latvian Cultural Traditions in an Innovative Environment” (Habitus). The program is realized by an interdisciplinary and inter-university group of scholars (15 participants altogether) which cooperates with organizations related to the intangible cultural heritage both in Latvia and in the international environment, e. g., the Latvian National Centrer for Culture and the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO.
