  Helen Crampton is an educator and writer of fiction and nonfiction. Her writing has been shortlisted in the Queensland Literary Awards and the Michael Gifkins Prize, and published in Landfall (University of Otago Literary Journal) and The Australian. Crampton was born in Nelson, New Zealand and teaches at Cairns School of Distance Education.
