Harald Bauder is the Director of the Ryerson Centre for Immigration and Settlement (RCIS) and an associate professor in Geography and the Graduate Program for Immigration and Settlement Studies at Ryerson University. He has a PhD from Wilfrid Laurier University and MA and BA degrees from Wayne State. His books include Immigration and Settlement: Challenges, Experiences and Opportunities (Canadian Scholars’ Press, 2012), Immigration Dialectic: Imagining Community, Economy and Nation (University of Toronto Press, 2011); Critical Geographies: A Collection of Readings (edited with Salvatore Engel-di Mauro, Praxis ePress, 2008), Labor Movement: How Migration Regulates Labor Markets (Oxford University Press, 2006), and Work on the West Side: Urban Neighborhoods and the Cultural Exclusion of Youth (Lexington Books, 2002).
