Dr. Farima Pour-Khorshid is a proud Bay Area educator-organizer-scholar. After teaching at the elementary level for over a decade in her home community of Hayward, as well as teaching university courses, supervising preservice teachers, and facilitating teacher professional development locally and internationally, she is now an assistant professor at the University of San Francisco. She holds leadership roles with the San Francisco Teachers 4 Social Justice, the Bay Area People's Education Movement, the national Education for Liberation Network and the Radical Healing Summit at Flourish Agenda. Her research interests include grassroots teacher organizing, critical professional development, healing justice work and racial affinity group approaches to support critical educators of color within the field of education.
