...MoreFilipe Matos is a researcher at the Centre for Geographical Studies since 2008. He graduated and mastered in geography and spatial planning at IGOT – Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon - where he's currently undertaking his doctoral research on urban governance and social innovation, using action research and living labs approaches. His main research interests revolve around social geography, urban governance and action research approaches. He has participated, as a research assistant, in the international projects REPLACIS - Retail Planning for Cities Sustainability and CHRONOTOPE - Time-space Planning for Resilient Cities, which focused on urban planning and retail resilience. He has also taken part in several social movements (transition initiatives, local associations) and micro-local grassroots initiatives.
