Erina Junius has graduated at the University of Stellenbosch (S.A.) and obtained her M.Mus (Music Education) Cum Laude from the University of Pretoria (S.A.) She also holds Teacher and Performer’s Licentiates from the Trinity College of London and UNISA for Recorder and Church Organ.
She has been involved during the last 16 years in the development of Arts syllabi for Namibian schools and Teacher Education. She presented a research paper titled “A Brief Overview of Music and Arts Education for Namibian Children” at MISTEC (Music in Schools and Teacher Education Commission) in Granada, Spain, during 2004.
She is the Namibian co-ordinator of an exchange programme for Arts lecturers and students between Namibia and the University of Umeå, Sweden.
During her years as music educator, she has presented a number of teacher workshops in recorder and choir conducting, as well as conducting a number of school and community mass choirs.
She serves as tutor for Junior Primary Music & Dance for a distance teaching program.
