DipArch UC, Chile. MArch Environmental Design University of Nottingham, UK. Lecturer and researcher at UACh School of Architecture in Valdivia, Chile. He has taken part in several architectural commissions with a focus on sustainability, both in England and Chile. Given his contributions within the energy efficiency field, Emil was awarded British Council's Climate Champion, and joined a global network of environmental entrepreneurs. Earlier, he supported the establishment of a local development model by team-working with the community of Huichas Islands, Chilean Patagonia. Such a model was awarded with both the Bicentennial Medal and Good Urban Practices awards, amongst other distinctions. His works have been published in England, France, Greece, Italy and the US. Emil also runs a small independent practice and often participates in various architectural competitions.
