  Elif Bas is an Assistant Professor at Bahcesehir University in Istanbul where she has been a faculty member since 2006. She completed her M.A. at the University of Essex and received her Ph.D. in Dramatic Criticism and Dramaturgy from Istanbul University. She has been working as a stage director, dramaturge, and translator in Istanbul for over nine years. Her scholarly interest include political/documentary theatre, minority theatre, Ottoman theatre and contemporary Turkish theatre.
