Darquise Lafrenière is a researcher in the ETHICS-OMICS research group at the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is co-researcher on a project aiming at designing, implementing and evaluating a knowledge dissemination strategy to communicate the results of a study on the ethical and social dimensions of nutrigenomics/nutrigenetics research. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the W. Maurice Young Centre for Apllied Ethics, at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. Her program focused on the use of arts-based methods and other forms of knowledge dissemination. She obtained a PhD in Applied Social Sciences, with a specialization in bioethics, from the University of Montreal. Prior to undertaking her doctoral studies, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry where she occupied various positions. Her research interests include knowledge translation in health research, especially the use of arts-based methods; research ethics; and ethics and health communication.
