Danielle Zoe Rivera is currently a doctoral student at the University of Michigan’s Urban and Regional Planning program in the Taubman College. Her interest in urban planning centers on issues of governance, physical planning, and social justice. Currently, she is formulating research to interrogate the possible connections between extraterritoriality, conceptions of space, and the development of marginalized/informal space. Rivera holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University. She has taught architecture at Penn State and worked as an architectural designer.
