My name is Danielli Neves, student in the University of Barcelona in the Levels of Linguistic Analysis Level program from 2003 to 2007, from the Faculty of Philology. I went to the DEA, presenting the dissertation on bilingual Portuguese-Spanish-Portuguese dictionaries, without having entered the doctoral thesis. Since then, I have followed in the area of teaching Portuguese for foreigners in several language academies in Barcelona.
In 2002 I participated in the development of phonetic transcription, translation and revision of the Spanish / Portuguese dictionary and the Self-taught Encyclopedia of the Oceano Editorial.
My training started in 1998 in Brazil, at the Federal Fluminense University - UFF / Rio de Janeiro, taking the Modern Letters degree course, specifically in Portuguese and Spanish education, and continues to Barcelona as a Catalan student .
Currently, I am Phd Studint preparing the doctoral thesis related to the acquisition and learning of second languages in the program 2015 Didactics of Sciences, Languages, Arts and Humanities. Research Line: Didactics of Language and Literature.
Two factors have motivated me to think about this topic of research work:
First of all, my double experience as a teacher, either in the practice of teaching Portuguese as a foreign language, or as a student in the process of learning Spanish, English, French and Catalan.
Second, my perception as a Portuguese teacher, of the growth in the interest for the Portuguese language, varying Brazilian as a foreign language in Barcelona, as a result of the growing economic projection of the country.
Taking into account that, in the language learning process, the culture that supports this language is also acquired, I would like to carry out an investigation to learn about the cultural stereotypes that Portuguese students have about language, describe what students think about language, what they are learning and finally do an analysis of aquatic cultural stereotypes (images) diagnosed. Also assess the extent to which these stereotypes facilitate or hinder the process of teaching and learning the language.
Diagnosing, analyzing and understanding these elements will facilitate the thinking of new teaching strategies in Portuguese, in order to improve factors such as the commitment, motivation and positive attitude of the teacher and the student in the process of teaching and learning PLE .
