  Mrs. Isitua obtained her B.Sc.(Hons.)degree in Microbiology with a Second Class Upper Division and a Masters degree in Environmental & Public Health Microbiology in 2002 and 2006 from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers' Institute, Kaduna, Nigeria in 2011 and she is currently concluding a PhD programme in Food & Industrial Microbiology from the University of Benin. She joined the University of Benin as an Assistant Lecturer in 2007 and she currently holds the position of Lecturer 1 in the Department of Microbiology,University of Benin. Her areas of interests are environmental toxins (mycotoxins),immunomodulation, food toxicology and ethnomedicine.She has over 8 scholarly publications in reputable Local and International Journals.
