  Aysegul OZBAKIR has received her B.Sc. degree from City and Regional Planning from METU in 1998. In 2001, she completed her masters degree in GGIT (Geodetic & Geographical Information Technologies) with the thesis: “Monitoring Urban Land Cover/Use Changes through GIS and RS Integration: A Case Study in Elmalı Catchment Area”. She has received her PhD from University of Ottawa, Canada, with the thesis: “A New Model for Quality of Urban Places: Integration of Objective and Subjective Indicators Using Information Technologies” in 2006. Between 2001-2004, she worked for an international project for the neighborhoods of Montreal Island funded by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). She was a GIS specialist and worked for the “Greenbelt Protection Plan of Ontario” at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing between 2004-2006. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor at Yildiz Technical University, Faculty of Architecture – City and Regional Planning Department. Less
