A third year PhD candidate in climate change and land-use at Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology (Ghana) through a scholarship from West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL). I obtained Msc. in Land/Natural resources management at Cranfield University (UK) through commonwealth shared scholarship, and completed bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with first class honours at University of Ibadan (Nigeria). I have been involved in natural sciences from my undergraduate to master’s degree; I therefore see my doctorate research as an opportunity to improve on the social component of my science. My doctorate research focused on socio-ecological modeling on impact of farmer’s adaptation strategies on the environment. The study area of my research is rural northern Ghana where climate change has aggravated their poverty conditions. By virtue of my higher education from three countries, I was opportune to meet and interact with people of diverse culture and backgrounds. I have worked in private, public and non-governmental organisation.
