I have been a faculty member in Bar-Ilan university since 1980 after I got my PhD from Bar-Ilan with the advice of late Prof. Charles Liebman. My thesis: "American Jewish Communist Intellectuals, 1929-1939." I have also a degree in law, LL.B from Tel-Aviv University.
My interests cover inter-racial relations in the United States in the 20th century and Supreme Court decisions with regard to liberties in the 18th century and civil rights in the 19th and 20th centuries. I have published many articles and books. My latest books: In Search of Refuge, Jews and US consuls in Nazi Germany, 1933-1941 (London, Portland, Or: Vallentine Mitchell, 2001);
