Ari Ezra Waldman is Associate Professor and the Director of the Innovation Center for Law and Technology at NYLS. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. from Harvard College. His research and writing focus on privacy, technology and society, hate and harassment on the Internet, and online social networks. His forthcoming book, Privacy As Trust: Information Law for an Information Age, argues that privacy law should protect information disclosed in contexts of trust. He is the winner of the 2017 Best Paper Award at the Privacy Law Scholars Conference, the 2016 Rising Star Award by the New York Law Journal, and the 2015 Otto L. Walter Distinguished Writing Award. His scholarship has been published or will appear in leading law reviews, including the Cornell Law Review Online, the Notre Dame Law Review Online, the Iowa Law Review, the Indiana Law Journal, and many more.
