Artie Jamison, who's lives life unapologetically authentic, serves as the Director of the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at Florida Atlantic University. She is currently working on her Doctoral Degree in Leadership and Curriculum Studies from Florida International University. Ms. Jamison graduated from Austin Peay State University with a B.S. in Biology, minoring in Chemistry and Psychology. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Higher Education with a concentration in student development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She volunteers with the Boca Raton Boys and Girls Club and has a passion for helping underserved and underrepresented students. She serves as a mentor for the Eda and Cliff Viner Foundation and also works as a cultural competence and diversity trainer for K-12 educators. A self-proclaimed womanist, Ms. Jamison believes in the uplift of all woman and advocates for fair treatment and equal wages. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband LaVar and amazing children, Andre, LaVar Jr. She also loves cooking and all things sports related, especially football and basketball.
