Antonio V. Menéndez-Alarcón is Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Department of Sociology and Criminology at Butler University, USA. He teaches courses on Globalization and Comparative Sociology (on Europe and Latin America). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Paris, France. His primary areas of interest are sociology of culture and communication, ethnic relations, and political sociology. He has published several books, and many articles in peer review journals in English, French, and Spanish.
