Anna Faul is a tenured Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Kent School of Social Work, University of Louisville, where she began working as an Assistant Professor in 2000. Before 2000 she was a social work professor in South Africa and a clinical practitioner in private practice. She was also the director of a training college training clinicians to practice from the principles embedded in the theory of love. Dr. Faul has published 27 articles and 7 book chapters on various research topics. She presented 60 papers at various national and international conferences. With various research teams, she has attracted $1.7 million dollars in federal and foundation research dollars to the school with research projects serving the community of Louisville. In April of 2006 she was recognized by the Kentucky Association for Gerontology as the outstanding educator in gerontology in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Her research agenda is currently focused on gerontology, health-related issues and expanding love actions in society through development of the Sorokin Psycho-Social Love Inventory.
