Dr. Angela Brand Butler is an Professor at California Baptist University where she conducts the Chamber Orchestra and teaches chamber music, music history, and piano. Dr. Brand holds a doctorate degree in orchestral conducting from the Claremont Colleges, where she served as the doctoral orchestral assistant for three years. In addition to her teaching duties, She was named by the American Symphony Orchestra League as one of the top five Young Conductors to watch in 1995. Dr. Brand conducts and performs regularly in southern California as well and guest conducts nationally. She has appeared with the Bowling Green State University Symphony Orchestra, Northern Arizona University and Loyola Marymount University and UCR chamber orchestras. Dr. Brand also was the founder and principal conductor of the youth orchestra, Instrumenti Musicali in Canada before returning to the United States to complete her doctorate. Angela Brand Butler resides in Riverside with her husband Brian and their son, Samuel. Her other interests include travel, camping, golf and hiking.
