Dr. Amar Sayani was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology. He received a Bachelor of Science in 2007 and doctorate in 2010 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2013. Following 5 years of private practice, he joined faculty at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Sayani teaches Sports and Performance Vision and is a preceptor in pediatric binocular vision and sports vision and concussion clinic services. Dr. Sayani is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and a member of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA). He received the prestigious Terrance N. Ingraham Pediatric Residency Award in 2013.
