Adam Sweatman is a Ph.D. student in American Religious History at Florida State University. He works primarily with religion and aesthetics in American history, progressive evangelical movements in the 20th and 21st centuries, and the history of the category “world religions.” He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, and an M.A. in Religion. His Master’s thesis is entitled, “Derridoxology: The Emerging Church Movement in the United States.” Adam is originally from Van Buren, Arkansas, but currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida with his wife Victoria.
