Since submitting my doctoral dissertation I have presented my work at a number of academic conferences and various professional forums. I am teaching a course on classic feminist theories at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the Hebrew University for the second year running. I enjoy teaching and find the dialogue with the students fruitful and challenging. This year I am also going to teach a course on medical anthropology in an academic program for nurses. My main research interest is the cultural aspects of illness and health. I am interested in subjects such as gender and health, the doctor-patient relationship, the phenomenology of pain and illness, cultural aspects of chronic illness, and disability studies. My work incorporates a variety of theoretical fields including: the sociology and anthropology of the body, medical anthropology, and feminist theory.
