Climate Change: Impacts and Responses’s Updates

David Humphreys Joins the Climate Change: Impacts and Responses Advisory Board

The Climate Change: Impacts and Responses Advisory Board is honored to welcome our newest member - David Humphreys.

David Humphreys is professor of environmental policy at The Open University in the United Kingdom where he produces teaching material on environmental studies. He strongly believes that climate change is the most urgent public welfare issue of our age, and that university teaching should enable students to think through their agency in environmental change and actively promote a more sustainable biosphere. His book Logjam: Deforestation and the Crisis of Global Governance (Earthscan, 2006) won the International Studies Association’s Harold and Margaret Sprout Award for the best book on international environmental issues. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and a National Teaching Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
