Wendy Stephens is the school library program chair in the School of Education at Jacksonville State University. Her research interests include authorship, readership, publishing and reception studies in the area of children’s literature. She has considerable experience in the areas of materials evaluation and pedagogy for literacy support. She received her Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of North Texas. and worked as a youth services librarian and library systems consultant.
