How to Use CGScholar Credit

What is CGScholar Credit?

CGScholar Credit is CGScholar's internal system. You can earn CGScholar Credit in various ways, but most commonly they are received via a refund. You can transfer credits to other users or use them to offset (or entirely pay for) other purchases such as registrations and bookstore purchases.


Please note that all CGScholar Credit credits issued after September 1st, 2019 will expire 12 months after they are issued. All credits issued before September 1st, 2019 will expire on September 1st, 2020.


Accessing Your CGScholar Credit

After logging in to your CGScholar account, you can access Your Wallet from the golden drop-down navigation bar.




If you have any available CGScholar Credit, the balance will be shown here.



You may transfer CGScholar Credit to another user using the transfer feature.



Using Your CGScholar Credit for a Purchase

Your CGScholar Credit can be used as store credit on any purchase. Before proceeding to checkout, there is a checkbox next to your total (circled in red) and a display of your total CGScholar Credits (boxed in blue). Select the checkbox in order to apply your CGScholar Credits.



Once you have selected your Wallet checkbox, the total will be reduced by the amount in your wallet (up to 100% of the cost of your purchase).



Once you proceed to checkout, your total cost will be displayed at the top of the page and on the payment button (boxed in red) while your pre-wallet total will be displayed with your line items (boxed in blue).




If you have any difficulties using your CGScholar Credit, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'no' to submit a support ticket.
