Upload Your Virtual Lightning Talk to YouTube

Overview

We encourage all Research Network Members to submit a presentation to our YouTube channels. If you are a member of any ResearchNetwork, and you have an accepted proposal, then you are welcome to submit a video presentation to be added to our YouTube channel - whether you have a registration to attend the conference or if you are a member of the community who is unable to attend this year. To do so, you will need to do the following things:

    > Upload your video to YouTube

    > Format it to meet our specifications

    > Submit a Ticket with your registration number and YouTube URL

Uploading Your Video

    > Go to YouTube.Com and click "Sign In" in the top right corner

    > After signing in, click "Upload" (top right corner)

    > If uploading for the first time, you may be prompted with a box asking you to select "Activities you'll share on your channel" - simply click "OK, I'm ready to upload"

    > You will then click a button labeled "Select filed from your computer" - you may also drag and drop the video file into this window

    > You should now see the upload in progress

    > One the upload is complete, a link should be displayed. This is the link that you will send to Common Ground Research Networks.

    > Please follow the guidelines below to fill out your videos 'Basic Info'

Note: You must leave the "Privacy Settings" set to "Public" or else we will not be able to add your video to the playlist.

Formatting Guidelines

Before we can add your video to our playlist, we'll need to make sure that it meets our formatting guidelines. To do so, you will need to copy information from your accepted proposal in CGScholar to your YouTube video upload.

To do so, go to www.cgscholar.com, login, and navigate to the proposal for which you wish to upload a video under your 'My Events' tab. The information you will need to copy is listed below:

Title, Description, Tags/Keywords, and the name of the Research Network (for example, 'Arts in Society'), Privacy Settings should be Public, Category (Education),
