Tehran Jaan-e-man - an Exhibit about Love

Abstract

This paper discusses a temporary exhibition taking place at the national museum of Tehran using iconic items from the core museum collection. General concept was to have all the collections around the table. The exhibition would travel to all our museums. Universal love is a concept that belongs to us all, all over the world in order to have a better understanding of the exhibition we created four categories into which all the objects fall 1-Love, family: the importance of the mother and motherhood 2- Love, romance: many objects tell the story of love across all civilizations and countries 3- Love, beauty: objects were offered as a sign of love miniatures or jewelry for weddings and a universals 4- Devotion: relationship between woman, god, and goddesses is a gain something universal we can start from prehistory and move to the contemporary that are closely connected to love This is a selection of objects to give us an idea of what could be included. Tehran Jaan-e-man means my dear Tehran. This could be expanded to all countries to tell love stories. We will include displays or exhibitions about Tehran.
